When pumps, compressors and other equipment are operating, strong vibrations occur that can lead to the destruction of structures, soil subsidence and accidents. To prevent such situations, pipelines are equipped with special thin-layer rubber-metal elements with good vibration insulation properties. The operation and safety of the entire system depend on the selected materials and the production process of these parts. Scientists from Perm Polytechnic University analyzed various technologies for the manufacture of such elements and identified materials that will increase strength by 2-2.5 times.
